Nang patunugin ng ikatlong anghel ang kanyang trumpeta, nahulog mula sa langit ang isang malaking bituing nagliliyab na parang sulo at tumama sa ikatlong bahagi ng mga ilog at mga bukal. Ang pangalan ng bituin ay “Mapait.” Kaya pumait ang ikatlong bahagi ng tubig, at maraming tao ang namatay nang makainom ng tubig na iyon.
